The tooth fairy drama inspired this week’s blog. You know the routine. Each time your child loses a baby tooth, it’s an exciting event for you and for your child. All of the hoopla leading up to the actual tooth loss is, well, an event. From the initial wiggly tooth to the waiting for it to come out, and the pondering of ways to get it out, it’s quite a memorable process. And since this happens 19 more times in your child’s life, we thought it would be fun to talk about ways to celebrate that first tooth loss (and possibly many more).
Make a Door for the Tooth Fairy
This is such a clever idea! Just find an inexpensive, non-opening doll house door online, then spray paint it (or leave natural) and prop it against the wall or affix with some removable tape. Tooth Fairy Cupcakes
How does one make such cupcakes? Easy – just add 1 cup or less of baby teeth (white chocolate chips), 1 cup or less of adult teeth (mini marshmallows), and 1/4 cup of tooth fairy dust (sprinkles) to your cupcake batter. Frost the cupcakes with an easy homemade or store-bought icing. Top with white chocolate chips to look like little teeth. Add one chocolate chip to each cupcake to symbolize the missing tooth.
Tooth Holding Bear
These adorable handmade felt bears have a serious duty of safe-guarding your little one’s tooth awaiting pickup by the Tooth Fairy. These are super simple to make. You’ll need to do some basic embroidery stitches for this project: the backstitch, satin stitch, French knot, and whipstitch. If you don’t know how, just Google it!
